Starting in 2020, workers completing a W-4 will need to use the new form – whether it’s for a new job, to account for a life change (such as marriage or having a baby), or simply to adjust their withholding amount. Otherwise, you won’t be required to complete a new W-f, assuming you already have a W-4 on file with your current employer.
The IRS has issued a redesigned W-4 form for use beginning in January 2020 that eliminates withholding allowances. As an employer, you will need to be familiar enough with this new form to assist new hires and some employees with its completion. This webinar will give you answers to the following questions:
- What changes were made to the W-4?
- Who must complete a new form?
- Do I need to do anything different in payroll?
- Are there any other record keeping rules for this new form?
Join us on Thursday, December 12 at 2 PM to make sure you are ready for 2020!
